David Russell

World Class classical guitarist. As good as it gets. There are excellent video clips on his site. Watch how he plays very carefully. We can learn quite a bit from this master.

Favorite clips: Vals Op.8 nš3, Vals Op.8 nš4, The Bucks of Oranmore, Spatter the Dew

Yang Xuefei

An excellent young player. Her site has video clips from various points in her career. When you see how well she played when she was 12, you start to understand what we can accomplish with proper focus and a good teacher.

Michael Hedges

Not enough can be said for what Michael has done for the acoustic guitar. I won't attempt to try it here.

Vicki Genfan

Combines the guitar styles of Michael Hedges and her vocal work to create a beautiful and unique style of music. Some video clips on her site.

Don Ross

Steel strings with alternate tunings galore. The intro music to this site is from his album "Passion Session"

Tribal Tech

Funky, blues infused, jazz-type band. All world class players.

Favorite CDs: Face First, Illicit, and Primal Tracks.

Steve Vai

Still one of the craziest and unique rock-ish players out there. He was an early influence on my playing and encouraged me to really let loose in all directions; all while holding a "whammy" bar between my teeth.

Steve Morse

Anything and everything Steve does is amazing. A truly well rounded musician from classical, to rock, to country arrangements. his playing is guaranteed to make you laugh or simply stare in awe, with your mouth hangin' open.

Jerry Reed (Unofficial site)

He's been my favorite for many years. Don't be too hasty to judge. His arrangements, playing, and technique are often packaged behind a humorous song.
