The methods of teaching music are constantly evolving. Today,
more than ever, we have more tools at our disposal such as
videos, computer programs, the internet, and new method books.
As a teacher it is very important to determine which methods are
appropriate for each student. In refining the methods in which we
teach, we are continually learning and forever a student as well
as a teacher.
I've always been
interested in learning about all of the wonders that life has to
offer. This desire to learn is only paralleled by the desire to
creatively express ideas and communicate them to others. My
journey has brought me full circle from my beginnings in music, to
studying Biophysics, to designing video games, all the way back to
music, from where it all began. I believe that studying music can
play an enormous role in developing a wide variety of skills that
are valuable throughout our lives. Creativity, aesthetics,
discipline, and a rewarding sense of accomplishment are just a few
of the things that we can learn and develop through the study of
music.
